Moon Valley Nurseries

The last review I thought I'd be posting about would be a nursery, but we strolled in after the World Cup Finals on our way to our friend's house warming and were greeted by the super helpful Matt and Q. We were quickly looking for a solid house plant for our friend, they pointed us in the right direction and helped us pick out a perfect bromeliad (yeah we just learned what they're called also). Thank you, fellas, for the hospitality and getting us in and out in a pinch! Will be back!

Highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery! We bought two trees from them and the customer service has been amazing. A huge shoutout to Patrick the tree guy! He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. He reviewed our tree photos, diagnosed the pest issue immediately, and walked us through the exact treatment steps with so much patience. It’s rare to find someone who cares this much about their customers and the health of the plants. If you go to Moon Valley, definitely ask for Patrick the tree guy!

Our salesperson Mitch had a car salesman personality, very charismatic and told us he had exactly what we were wanting. He was very animated by telling us our orange tree would be much taller than him and used his arms to say (close to 7 foot) and then spread his arms out wide to show how bushy it would be and added full of fruit . He told us unfortunately he didn't have any on the property because of a quarantine so took us in his office to show us pictures of the ones in San Diego where my tree would come from , we loved the pictures and he promised we would "love" the tree , he said it was gorgeous . He then told us it would be $2000 , I asked is that a bit on the high side and he agreed but said it includes planting and a $320 protection plan that he said we definitely need . Sadly we went ahead with the transaction and excitedly waited a month for the tree to be delivered. Welllllll a tree was delivered , it is barely 5 ft tall and no fruit at all :( I called and spoke to Mitch, he immediately asked if I had the insurance , he looked it up and saw we did, and he asked me to send pics , which I did and waited for a response , thinking he would replace it with the one I ordere

Our 35 year old Italian Cypress trees were starting to show stress, so I reached out to my favorite arborist Torin at the Irvine/Orange County location and gave me some recommendations and suggested soil injections to help make them stronger. Rafael Alba Silva from Moon Valley came out and did a thorough inspection of the trees and explained exactly what he would be doing and how the injections would help revitalize my trees. On top of it all, he recommended a future nutrient maintenance schedule best suited for my trees. Torin and Rafael represent the exact reason why I feel confident in having Moon Valley help me with my trees. I would be lost without them.

Makenzie Weaver was amazing. We initially worked with Rusty, who was helpful in advising us on selecting fruit trees, palms and plants for our backyard. However, after about 2 months some of the plants started dying. I sent text and videos but didn’t receive a response. That’s when McKenzie stepped in. She came out to our house, assessed the situation, and explained what plants would work better for our specific plant location. She made sure we were taken care of. Moon Valley replaced approx 12 plants and Mike Falco and his team did a great job replanting them. Makenzie and Mike restored our faith in Moon Valley Nursery.
